Bottled Water
Bottled water is mentioned here because no bottle of water is created equal.  If you have intention to rely on bottled water, please do your research on the type of filtration used to produce the water.  If you choose to consume bottled water, look for spring or mineral water.  It is important that the water you drink has total dissolved solids (TDS) of at least 100 parts per million.

Distillation
The process of distillation involves heating the water to the boiling point and then condensing the water vapors.  Impurities are filtered out though this process, both good and bad.  The resulting "pure" water is considered not safe to drink.  Valuable minerals are stripped from the water, including calcium, magnesium and potassium.

Reverse Osmosis
The process of reverse osmosis works much like the body's cells.  A semi-permeable membrane is placed between a concentrated and a dilute solution.  The solution with higher concentration will move to the solution with the lower concentration.  Reverse osmosis is this process in reverse by applying pressure to the side holding the concentrated solution.  This forces the concentrated solution through the membrane, removing impurities from the water. Reverse osmosis is another filtration method that produces "purified" water and is considered unsafe to drink.  "Purified" water produced by any means has had all the minerals removed from it.  Pure water is a substance that cannot be found in nature.  By this, you might want to think of pure water as a drug and to be avoided for consumption.

Water Ionization
Water ionization is a means to separate Acid and Alkaline Ionized water by a process of electrolysis and separated by a membrane.  The alkaline ionized water is used for healthy consumption, and the acid ionized water is used for external and household use.  The consumption of alkaline ionized water is a primary recommendation of this website for health maintenance through drinking water.
